Apple Watch Credited with Saving User's Life

Device Alerts User to Abnormally Low Heart Rate

Man Says Wearable Prevented Life-Threatening Condition

A California man is crediting his Apple Watch with saving his life after the device alerted him to an abnormally low heart rate. Peter Moore, a resident of Scotts Valley, was on his way to pick up his daughter from the airport when he received the notification. At first, he ignored it, but eventually decided to check his pulse. To his surprise, it was only 30 beats per minute, well below the normal range for adults.

Moore immediately went to the hospital, where doctors discovered that he was suffering from a condition called bradycardia, which can lead to fainting, seizures, and even death. Thanks to the early warning from his Apple Watch, Moore was able to receive prompt treatment and avoid serious complications.

"I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my Apple Watch," said Moore. "It literally saved my life." Moore's story is a reminder of the potential benefits of wearable technology. While devices like the Apple Watch are often seen as fitness trackers, they can also play a vital role in monitoring health and preventing life-threatening conditions.
