Dominant Performance Secures Victory Over Jasmine Paolini

Swiatek Extends Roland Garros Reign

Polish tennis star Iga Swiatek has triumphed at the 2024 French Open, securing her third title at the prestigious clay-court Grand Slam. In a thrilling final, Swiatek defeated Jasmine Paolini in straight sets (6-2, 5-7, 6-4), becoming the first woman in 17 years to win three consecutive Roland Garros titles.

Swiatek's victory solidifies her status as one of the dominant forces in women's tennis. The 21-year-old has now won two Grand Slams in 2024, adding to her triumph at the Australian Open earlier this year.

In the final, Swiatek showcased her remarkable consistency and power. She broke Paolini's serve five times and hit 29 winners. Paolini, who was unseeded in the tournament, put up a valiant effort but ultimately could not match Swiatek's brilliance.

With her latest triumph, Swiatek joins an exclusive club of female players who have won three or more French Open titles. She is now tied with Monica Seles and Justine Henin for third place on the all-time list.
